. Five days ago I boarded the “Mermaid II”, and the crew promptly collected our shoes. Some of the pictures will be posted, but probably not until I’m back in Norway
. I would also more than double the maximum depth I’ve been to.

More important than all statistics, however, are the experiences gathered and the variety of marine life we encountered. I saw my first Moray eels, garden eels, lionfish, scorpion fish, triggerfish, trevallies on the hunt, lots of little “Nemo”s and a whole host of other fish whose names I don’t know, but whose colours, shapes and abundance were truly baffling.
It’s hard to single out the best moment of the trip, but some of the highlights are summed up in the next entry.
